Screen Broken?

Yesterday i was using a tp sat nav application when the screen completely froze. Only thing i could do was lock the screen. When trying to unlock the screen, everything was just black.
I left it like this over night hoping it would resolve itself, however still like it this morning.
I have tried doing a quick reset (Power, Volume Down and Camera Button), and when the phone came back on the screen came alive but it was completely scrambled (a bit like looking at an analogue tv not tuned into any stations).
Is the screen completely dead or is it salvageable? of course my warranty ran out 2 weeks ago, and my upgrade isn't due until late september

Seems like a hardware problem... probably the LCD is just gone, you can try a hard reset o using the Nokia recovery tool software (Assuming you have a Nokia Lumia phone) as a last measure.

If is a hardware problem then your LCD is mostly plain dead, you can disassembly your phone and try to clean the LCD connector, but there is not guarantee that could work.
