Screen Def. Spec. unknown.

For a while now high-definition screens are a deciding factor for screen choice. I have a few different possibilities that could alter and improve screen definition. While buying, specs are not clearly stated. Besides resolution specifications there is also video cards, in other cases, graphics cards, and ram. If anyone knows more, please state any and all other technicalities. Could someone also point out the newer 4k definition spec? Clarify if ram is not a factor for screen definition.

cont. [edit] By "clarify" I mean RAM is sometimes another factor for a more defined display; except I do not have 100 percent certainty. How do these other technicalities affect resolution and screen?
