Screen does not turn off even though it is set to 30 seconds

I am experiencing this weird issue. Sometimes my lockscreen does not turn off.. My lock screen is set to 30 seconds only... Turning off and on the phone or rebooting fix the issue.
Anyone having this weird issue too?

Try changing your lock screen timeout to 1 min and then again to 30 second if that doesn't help try a soft reset.(press and hold volume rocker down button and power button together until phone reboots)

I too face this problem when the phone is connected to usb power charging with the laptop. If any notification comes, I see it and then swipe it right. After that screen wont turn off.

Me too..only after the wp8.1 dp update...further updates didn't seem to fix it

I think this is one of the minor bugs of WP 8.1
