I'm on my second SP4 - first one was a lemon. I noticed the other day - after the last firmware update - that I have a section of my screen that is flickering. It's about 1" x 2" in the upper left corner and stops when I move the mouse on the screen or touch it, then after 5 seconds it starts again. I'm not sure if this is firmware - it seems hardware related - but if I return this one I'm going to have to switch to something else. I'm in IS/IT and I can't keep returning and rebuilding every week. I'm attaching a video of the flicker.

What do you guys/gals think?

This does look bad!

Hard to tell from your video, is this on your desktop, or is it within some app?
Do you see this in daylight? (Just want to rule out the interference with some other light source).
Can you confirm the video driver version? Is it 20.19.15.4308 dated 10/27/2015?

And when you say the first one was a lemon, what exactly was wrong with it? Just curious.
Were both bought from the same store? Did they have the exact same specs? Wondering if there was a bad batch or something.

The video shows it on the desktop. I tried different desktops to see if color had an effect - but it shows no matter what the desktop is.

I tried turning off everything in the room, as well as disconnecting it from power, etc. That is the video driver version I'm on.

The first one I had would lock up every 30-60 minutes. I think that one had a bad ssd. They were gotten from different but local best buy stores. Same specs - i5 8gb 256ssd

Good to hear, mine should arrive tomorrow (1st one - European delay).

Now my fingers are crossed! The only big issue I find with it - the screen is too nice! It makes my 1080p 24" second monitor look like a CRT.

OK, short update, still didn't have time to do a thorough testing of the machine but so far everything seems to be working fine, no fan problems, no screen problems and no graphic card driver crashes. Now to test that battery life and compare it to my trusty SP2.
