SD card content has been deleted and now phone does not recognize sd cards

As stated in the topic, this randomly happened to my phone. All my music and pics are now lost. Anyone else have this issue?

Does the card in question function properly in other devices?
Or maybe the phone card reader itself went south?

After a soft reset about a month ago, I got an error message saying my SD card was corrupt. It was only a few weeks old at that point. All I could do was take out the card, and restore the phone to factory settings. I used it a couple of days before putting the SD card in again. It has worked well since (fingers crossed), but I was nervous when I had to do a soft reset the other day.

I have had the phone not recognize the data on the SD card. Try shutting down the phone or pulling the battery, making sure the SD card is seated properly, and start the phone again. My music, podcasts, and pictures all displayed on the phone.

For a minute there I was confused *pull the battery* lol
