search tags dissappeared after update

i have recently brought my Lumia 520 in india and had given my cell fr manufacturing defect to nokia care

After it came back i noticed it had the latest firmware and the UGLY alphabetical search bars which were there in the app list is gone !!

just though of sharing this info because many people were complaining about it

It will come back if you DL somewhere around 40 or 50 apps.

Its so ugly...i wish microsoft removes it

Btw after having 60 apps it appeared rather than 40 apps

I actually find the alphabets helpful, as I can avoid scrolling and reach the end if the list just by tapping an alphabet and selecting the alphabet I want to scroll to, which gets me to, say "w" in 2 taps, rather than 3-4 swipes. Anyway, to each his own....

In case you prefer scrolling, try this: when you swipe to the app list, tap the search icon. This removes the alphabets from the view, and you can scroll the list or type in the app name.

The alphabet tags work the same way in the people hub and in whatsapp.
