Searching in the Uber app

It's it just me or does the Uber app for W10M not support searching for points of interest? I have only been successful at searching for a city or specific address. If I try to search for a restaurant or hotel for example, I don't get any results. I have to tell the driver the destination every time manually. Is this expected behavior?

Unfortunately, it does seem that the Uber app for W10M can't search for specific points of interest. For this, I use Edge and go to m.uber.com - from there I can type in the point of interest as my destination.

I've sent this as feedback to Uber already. It seems they're improving on this, but bit by bit.

it appears the app is using beta maps data from 2006 or something, and since we cant add a pin for drop off location like we do with pickup location, nothing to fix this other than using the web app
