Select Picture Crashes - Lumia 640

I am on 8.1 update 2 and when selecting any pics in some lockscreen apps or sharing photos on telegram the select picture option shows up. This option should display all pics and also has section for albums and favourite. But in my case when I open it it force closes within seconds with displaying anything.
Rebooting doesn't solve this.

Also one more issue I have is while selecting the what's app profile picture I cant view the pics inside a folder which is inside a main folder. The sub folder is not displayed.

Searched for any fixes available but couldn't find any. If anyone know how to solve this please reply. Thanks.

No. Hard reset I left. But it would be better if this is solved without hard resetting. Will have to set everything up again. Do u also own a 640?

I think I have got a similar problem after upgrade to WP8.1 update 2 of Lumia 830. The problem occurs when you have to select photo using photo chooser.
My problem occurs at the following app.
1. Email app (when adding attachment, happens occasionally)
2. Skype (when sending photo to other contact, always happens)
3. Fresh paint (when select photo to use as a background, always happens)
There are more but these are app I can remember.

Yes correct. I tried on all the 3. Same issue. So i guess its not device specific. Hope to get a fix for it.

Just want to let you know that I have a lot of photo in Camera roll (1000-2000 photos) and today I have moved those files to OneDrive to clear up Camara rolls folder in my phone. It came out that the problem is gone. So you can try to clean up your camera roll and I hope it could fix your problem too.
