"Settings" is taking 2.3 GB!

I was noticed that the free space of my Lumia 620 is reducing every day. And it wasn't because of the known other storage. (Storage Check shows that it's almost 900MB)

Today, I've seen something strange in the Storage Check: "Settings" is taking 2.3 GB! I've checked with my friend's Lumia 820, Settings is taking almost 70MB in his phone, and it was same for me a few weeks ago. But now, size of settings in my phone is 30 times bigger than my friend!

My Lumia 620 is running WP8 GDR1.

What should I do now?!

I guess you should reset your phone, even my 820 had 2 gb of settings after a quick reset it was back to 1.8 gb.

Are you sure? Settings should not be 1.8GB in any way. It's not same as OS, which is 1.8 GB.
"settings" of my friend's Lumia 820 is only 80 MB...

Lol there is definitely something wrong w/ both your phones. Settings should never go past 100MB. Its either some bad metadata that's causing it to show that amount or something is wrong. Hard reset highly recommended..

That's very bad my lumia 920 is around 75MB only.

So I'll need to download and install apps again :| It's not good, but I have no other choice.
Now that I'm hard resetting my phone, isn't it better to flash it to Amber? Does Amber available for Lumia 620 via NSU? (or NCS?)

That's very bad my lumia 920 is around 75MB only.

And your 920 has 32GB of internal storage, while my 620 has just 8GB, which includes that 2.3GB of settings (

What is more accurate for "other", storage checker or phone storage? Because first one shows i have 500mb of "other" while other shows 1.8gb?!

Phone storage counts app data, maps, emails, etc as "other", but Storage check shows those in separate categories.
