Should I exchange my surface pro due to the light bleeds, and is that a sufficient reason for exchanging at best buy?

Re: Should I?

Of course it is! Anything on hardware or software, esp hardware that isn't normal, should make you eligible for a refund/exchange.

I wouldn't. I'm on my second surface (due to other reasons) and they both have the same amount of bleed. I'm a display snob but honestly, I can't see any effect when actually using the device.

I see. I exchanged mine today, and the new one has a bleed as well, although less bleed then the other. I guess I'll just have to pretend it's not there.

Consider yourself lucky. I got a dead pixel.

Thing is, the pixels are so tiny I hardly notice it. At the time, the trouble I went through to get the computer made it seem like exchanging was more trouble than it was worth, so I kept it.

went through 3 units before I got a unit that didn't have any bleeds, the fourth is ok. I can try getting a pic of it within the next few days of the unit without the bleeds.

Unit#1 - bleeds on the right bottom corner
Unit#2 - bleeds and stand would crack each time it opened, was fine with it till a piece of the stand broke off next to the hing
Unit#3 - worse bleeds of all and brightness was really low even on max
Unit#4 - ok

Maybe something with the glue curing next to the power connector?

I guess I consider myself lucky, I'm still on my first unit and have no light bleeding issues :)
Been enjoying it since Day 1.
