Should I make the jump?

"Are you kidding? The 8X I feels solid and sleek, best feel of any phone I have held. Yes the buttons are a little thin, and a side power button would be nice, but they add to the sleekness of the phone. The texture is very nice and helps keep a hold of the phone. I would argue that the 8X has the same quality feel as the iphone. Certainly it's a step up from the 822 in terms of quality feel. "

The S3/Z10/iphone 5 are miles ahead of the look of this phone, the S2 would probably be the closest, it has alot of plastic.. I do find the 8x comfortable to hold, but i also find the other phones comfortable as well. But the blue backer on this phone feels super cheap compared to the titanium/chrome style that the newer phones use.

how a phone looks is a preference. Just like how people here judging your photo.

Gee, I don't have any problems with the buttons and have never understood what all the complaining is about. The phone feels every bit as solid as any smart phone I've had and the form is definitely the most attractive. I just get tired of all the blah, blah, blah. My dad used to say, "That's why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream." Some folks like one flavor and some another. We don't all like the same things folks, but if you don't like it you don't have to bash it....... just buy something else for heaven's sake and get on THEIR forum!!

I wish we could have constructive comments here that answer legitimate questions or solve legitimate issues that 8x owners have. If you don't have an 8X or aren't someone looking for information because you are seriously considering getting one, you need to check out a different forum.

Well, for better or worse, I made the jump. I'm loving it so far. To me, it's the nicest form factor out there for a phone. WP8 needs some work and I'm basically dealing with it because of the aesthetic of the live tile UI and the phone itself.
