Should Microsoft Use T-Mobile-esque Strategy to grow WP in the US?

Microsoft should run a broken Android (cant do iPhone b/c MSFT and Apple are a loose alliance against Google right now) promotion where Microsoft buys broken/shattered screen Android devices off of people with the caveat being that they replace it with a Windows Phone device of the same network they're on so carriers don't lose customers (if they did they'd never support it). There's millions of uninsured Android users who carry around beaten up phones because they can't afford a new phone. This would be an easy user steal for MSFT to make.

This alone would get a couple million more people on WP in the US and increase publicity and exposure of the OS as well as create a more attractive user base size for more official apps. This also means more people searching on Bing which translates to more $$$ for MSFT.

I like that idea ..... though im not sure how effective that idea will be because there is a risk of people abusing this :/
