Best answer: The 7390 maintains the same great design but adds Intel's latest 10th Gen Comet Lake processors and keeps the price on par with the previous-gen model. Right now there's little reason not to get the latest refresh.

the best improvement of the dell xps 7390 is the camera atop the bezel cover.
for those on the fence in upgrading or buying a new laptop like i was last year, i do recommend the dell xps.
i purchased mine this years and love everything about the laptop. I did not get the 4k screen and still marvel at the picture clarity and definition while watching baseball. The laptop is extremely sturdy and windows 10 is such a clean OS i can run my Linux apps seamlessly! I switched from Mac this year (since 1992) and happy, relieved and no regrets doing so!
