Since I downloaded Windows 10, why can't I download files from a business site that I use often?

downloaded windows 10 and can't download files from a business site that I use often.

I am a real estate broker and the company has a company portal that we go to download company listings that we take on showings. The files for each listing won't download. Also, when I go to that portal it asks me for login information each time. Never had this problem with Windows 7. I think I like 10 otherwise but this is a problem.

Which browser are you using? Edge, IE11, Firefox, chrome?

I was able to contact (after a long wait) a helpful Microsoft tech who took over my screen and fixed the problem. The night before I had changed my default browser from Edge to IE11 (previous) but I wasn't able to get the IE icon on my favorites bar. She did that for me and agreed with my decision to not have Edge be my default browser at present. Her suggestion was that I should play with Edge and learn what it offers and how to use it but that I should continue for the time being to use IE for my office needs. The next day I had a problem with my computer no longer connecting to my scanner. Another tech took over my screen and downloaded updated drivers for my printer/scanner. I should be good for now and I am grateful for the patience and skill of these the two women who solved the problems. I guess everything new will have kinks and hopefully I won't need this kind of help on a regular basis.
