Skype update

SKYPE is now headed towards its new version 2.25.0.111. Which comes up with -
? Faster msg sync
? Can clear individual chat or single msg/pic
? tap on icon to go back to recent list
? improvements in group setting
? other bugs fixed

I'm still sitting at Skype v 2.23.0.900 on WP 8.0. No sign of the 2.25.0.111 version on my wp store account when signed in...only the older version is shown for only wp 8.0

However, when signed OUT of my wp store account, Skype shows the 2.25.0.111 version available for BOTH wp 8 and wp 8.1
But at that loc if I try to send the app to my phone ...of course I have to sign in, so I'm back to the old version again. And the Skype website links for the update, of course, lead to the same circumstances. Any workaround that I'm missing here?

Is the Skype update only for wp 8.1?...if so why does it show support for wp8.0?

Anyone else finding this???

All u need to update ur phone and install 8.1 . It ll surely help u
