Small tile for mail - Notification count cut off

I'm using the small tile on my new Lumia 720 for my only email account. Just noticed that when the counter goes up to double digits the counter alignment doesn't look right. Is this a known problem, and is there is a way around it? Couldn't find anything related in my search attempts on this.

AFAIK, the only way to avoid it getting cut off it if it gets into double digits is to use a bigger tile.

Thanks - Not a big deal in the end and hope that it gets addressed in an update. But are there 3rd party mail apps that provide a decent replacement for the stock mail app which may not have this issue?
