"Smoked By Windows Phone" is a Scam

I'm curious to see your statistical data to back this claim up.

Pretty much every tech site and phone forum has had lots of articles about the contest Ben Rudolph made right. That pretty much offset what good advertising the smoked by windows phone campaign was getting.

Obviously the specifics of this contest are skewed so that they're not giving away $1000 laptops on a daily basis. But the point the challenge is driving home is accurate: for most day-to-day activities, Windows Phone is an incredibly fast, fluid, and easy-to-use OS. It lacks customization compared to Android and App availability compared to iOS, but when it comes to a fast-and-easy interface, I really think Windows Phone is king of the hill right now.

Every news site had articles about how Ben Rudolph and Microsoft quickly made it right after a local cell phone vendor hassled a customer...how is that bad news for Microsoft? A lot of the comments I've seen on articles are along the lines of "good for Microsoft for standing behind their promise and giving this guy a $1000 laptop and a free phone even when the local cell phone store refused to." That's not bad press for Microsoft.
