SMS delivery confirmation question

When SMS confirmation is turned on, I receive a text confirming text was delivered but it says it was delivered to my number?? Shouldn't it confirm delivery to the number the text was sent to? Any ideas or help?

What app are you using? I'm not familiar with SMS confirmation in the default message app.

Sorry, forgot to mention what phone. It's an HTC One M8 Windows 8.1 and I am using the message app that comes with the phone.

Hmmm. I wonder if that's a carrier feature. I don't have the option on my Lumia 920 w/ ATT. Running 8.1 DP.

There on my l625. Three dots then settings when the app is open. I do not use sms hence I turned it off.

Nokia 5110 had/has this function.
