SNAPCHAT...emailed me?

I'm a 6snap user and to day I got an email from SNAPCHAT. Not sure if the email is actually from SNAPCHAT but this is what I received:

"Hi XXXX,

We've noticed that you're using a third-party application to access Snapchat, putting yourself (and possibly your friends) at risk. Please change your password and stop using third-party applications when you access Snapchat.

For more information, or to change your password, please visit:..."

Does this mean they are about to kill 6snap?

Keep using it. If they care about you as a customer they'll release a client themselves.

I can't post the link snapchat asked me to visit to read more on this (I havent posted enough on windows central to post links...) but it's an interesting page name. It's ...snapchat dot com /locked
