Hi.. I received mail from snapchat

" Hi itzmewasim,

Despite repeated warnings from us about the dangers of using third-party apps, our records indicate that you have continued to use these unauthorized programs. We regret that we have now permanently locked your account.

For more information please visit:
https://www.snapchat.com/locked

Thanks,
Team Snapchat "

Now what can i do to unlock my snapchat account... No officials app for snapchat found in wp store :(

Guys, I got my email claiming I was permanently locked from Snapchat. You know what I did? I contacted them and sent them a very aggressive message on behalf of all of us. Check it out:

"Every single account you locked out today belongs to a Windows Phone user. We on Windows Phone find the platform unique, personal, and unlike any other mobile OS on the planet. We are also known for our aggressive behavior towards application developers. Because of this immature, foolish endeavor you have put forth today, many people are ticked off at Snapchat as a service and as a company. But just think: You are the real losers, not us. You just lost the respect of millions of Windows Phone users in the world, 90% of whom lie in your target market. Less users means less ad revenue/traffic, which means less money in your pockets.

What makes your decision 5x worse is that Windows Phone is the fastest growing operating system in the world right now, expected to be #1 by 2022. So what's you excuse for not an official app for our platform? Nothing but inconsideration and greed for a company that I thought was genuine and innocent.

These communications will not stop; you will be receiving emails, tweets, facebook comments, letters, etc. from all of those whom you locked out, all because of your immature behavior.

Make an official app for us, and this will all go away. It can't be that hard for a company of 100+ people to make an app for us if Rudy Huyn, developer of super popular third-party 6snap, made one BY HIMSELF. I hope you reconsider your actions and make an official app for Windows Phone. Treat us with the respect that we deserve."

The only way this could work, however, is if EVERYBODY emailed them their feelings using www.snapchat.com/locked and told them that us Windows Phone users will not tolerate this immature endeavor.

Amazing thing you wrote out there ,. But I don't think they will get affected by it .. I just got an email saying my account got locked .. Sucks :/

I said that because we are not being treated equally in the app space. We are known for, very socially, demanding popular apps. I wasn't really talking about us as individuals, but us as an operating system.
This had been discussed to death already, but you are knowingly choosing a platform that is "not being treated equally in the app space." It's your choice. You are in complete control.

You make it seem like it's a make-or-break thing for me. It's not; one service not supporting Windows Phone is not gonna send me straight to Android or iOS, like some people in these forums plan on doing. I chose this platform knowing that, yes. But I support the underdog. It's in my blood.

That said, that's not the reason I choose Windows Phone. It just feels nice knowing that I am part of a dedicated community making a difference (or at least trying to) in bringing these app developers on board with Windows Phone. It's kinda like American patriotism if you think about it, lol.

That's cool that you feel that way! Windows Phone needs supporters like you to have any chance at all in the market. To me, the advantages of WP aren't worth the sacrifices, such as this one. I don't like feeling like a 2nd class citizen all the time, and that I have to fight for every inch.

I pay a premium for a smartphone and data. I have a Verizon plan with unlimited data, and I don't plan on giving it up unless Verizon forces me to. With WP I feel that it's half going to waste because of all I cannot do. No bank app, no Snapchat, and the apps I use that are available on WP are half baked compared to their iOS & Android equivalents. I want to fully utilize what I have.

Thank-you for explaining yourself in this post. I fully support your position, but yet I do think you should use caution in how you react. I don't think you told Snapchat anything they didn't already know. And if 3% of their customers are upset, will they do anything about it? They could probably predice quite accurately what would happen, and I'm sure they thought long and hard about their decisions, both to block 3rd party apps and ban their users, and to not provide an official WP app.
