The voice recognition is really good. It will blow away those androids. If I was working at the cell phone store I would say these aren't the droids you're looking for.

(Back at Christmas, my parents got Samsung Note 3's. They didn't hate them, but my dad really did not like the email experience on Android at all. He knew that the email worked great on my Windows Phone, so they took their Note's back to the store and got Icon's.)

The funny thing is, he mainly wanted better email to receive and view messages. He told me that he wouldn't use it much to compose email, but now that he can use voice to text, he's all in. Anyway, I just think this is one of the features that nobody hardly brings up.

your dad should wait for windows phone 8.1 (which will be available this summer ) , with cortana personal voice assistant , notification centre and action centre :wink:

Yeah, I made the mistake of telling them about it. Now they keep asking me when it's going to be released. I would have told him how to do it with the DP, but with the icon debacle, I decided to make them wait.

Good idea. I had it on my icon and I rolled it back to 8.0.

true , they should not use the DP as there are many bugs specially in icon (power button issues ) and battery life problems. :smile:
