I was like wtf, so I thought, well maybe it will be like an app, and I can go back to the marketplace and choose "buy" and it will be all "you've already purchased this, blah blah blah".

Nope. It charged me again. Not sure what to do here.

Are you sure you bought it and didn't choose the download option the first time? (Only relevant if you have the Zune Music Pass).

Is it possible that there was a different Zune account logged on on the computer to the one on the phone?

If you're sure you've bought it twice, which shouldn't be possible, you'll have had receipts emailed to the address associated with your account. I would get in touch with customer support in the morning and you'll be able to cite the order reference numbers and what they contained.

I don't have a Zune Pass. I didnt receive an email, so maybe it didn't charge me, and just looked like it did.

Ooh, I just got the email. I wonder if I can contact them and get it reversed. How weird.

lol - it says "if you have any questions, visit http://www.microsoft.com/windowsphone/en-us/howto/support.aspx.".

Hi 404 error.

Hes right. I have a Lumia 710, and every time I connect it to my pc to charge it, it syncs with zune and deletes most of my music. I get my music a different way ;-) So I thought maybe they had a trick to detect this and in turn erased my music. However, there is music that is left on the phone that I obtain the same way. What really sucks is some of that music was hard to find and get, and I don't want to keep down loading the albums over and over. Is there a way to avoid this. Really getting tired of Corps putting out BS software just to release the next version, at cost of coarse, that's better than the last only to have different problems so you have to buy the next iteration of it. and on and on. :@

I'm not at home so I can't tell you the exact steps but there's a way to change the sync relationship so that you can manually manage your music. That should stop any auto syncing (and auto deleting).

My music is all CD's ripped as WMA files. So no online content at all.

Still, sometimes when I sync up with the Zune app, it'll wipe songs off the phone and the collection. They're still on my harddrive and I can re-add them by dropping them back on the Zune app, and then dragging it over to the phone.

I have no idea why this happens, as I'm manually syncing only the part of my collection I listen to it really makes no sense.
