Software Recovery tool

I have multiple times a day complete crashes requiring manual reboots on my 950 XL. I tried a full reset without using a backup and that mildly helped. I was now trying to use the Windows Device Recovery Tool 3.1.4. It recognizes the phone but says "Package not available for this device." I got it from microsoft's website and it has firmware version 01078.00017.15454.29005. Any help?

possibly exchange the phone?

I am surprised that there isn't a restore image available for either 950, but i would guess it would be available around the same time the 950's get to install insider builds.

I am fearful I will have to exchange. I'm hours from the nearest Microsoft store (purchased mine online) and I don't know how that will work since they have nothing in stock right now online. I don't want to go back to weeks of my poor tired 920.
