Solved: Lumia 920 screen turns dark when calling

One note!, The sensor that turns off your display when calling is not meant to save battery life ;) no no noo!!, It's meant to disable touch function............ When you put your phone on ear, you are touching the display with your face, since we don't want to end the call by accidentally tapping somewhere on the screen with your face/cheek they added sensor that will turn off the touch and display function while your phone is near the face :amaze: .. hope you found this useful ;) :amaze:

What happened to me was that the camera image appeared extremely dark once, I just restarted the phone and worked again, could this be an issue with cyan or with update 1?

Thought it could be resolved by turning touch sensitivity to normal.

No- its a hardware issue with screen. Requires Nokia service.

Turning on the front camera worked for me and also enabled back the glance screen as it is activated by the proximity sensor., Lumia 830 here.

Hi there, I understand this is an extremely old article but I recently did this on my nokia 1520 and it solved my problem. I was wondering if you think this will work on the back button light as well? it is the same thing where the light goes out but will light up if I apply pressure on the bottom left of the phone. Would it be safe to apply the same fix? or would I be risking the phone burning out?
