SP7 i5 vs i7

Has anyone gotten their hands on an i7 version of the Surface Pro 7? Curious if it is worth the $300 upgrade over the i5. Part of me says that neither of them will run at full performance because of thermal limits, but then the i7 gets active cooling (potential battery life reduction?).

It's worth it if you need the extra power. Here's a quick breakdown WC did between the different 10th gen processors. But chances are, unless you're doing a lot of photo editing, video rendering, or developing in general, you probably won't need an i7.
