To add some additional background to this... Not only do we have spam busting tools in place... but these tools 'learn' over time as well. Our editors and EIC's also have the ability to delete/ban spammers in the comments. PLUS, our forums team has the same ability. So, we have auto detection tools that are deleting and 'learning', and 2 separate teams on-point to bust spam when spotted.

As we go, hopefully spambots will get crushed more and more often... it's a constant battle. But we're on it.
