Specs, schmecs. There is an underlying issue with regards to phones and that is "perceived" quality. To the gentlemen with the Ferrari vs. Kia argument, the point is both will get you from point A to point B but the Ferrari will put a hottie riding shotgun. Why? Because she thinks you have thick wallet. That's a perception. iPhones sell like hotcakes and most people couldn't even tell you what their specs are because Apple doesn't publish them. But people generally believe they are of the highest quality and therefore snatch them up. I didn't make this stuff up, that is the general consensus whether it's true or not. Matter of fact, it goes for many of the class-leading products we see everywhere. If you compare the features and "specs" between a Ford Fusion and a Honda Accord, it's not even close. But guess which one enjoys the "reputation" and the sales success. We could argue 'til the cows come home but it doesn't change the fact that Microsoft products are perceived to be proletarian, buggy devices that are prone to less than stellar service lives while Apple products are quality products that are never prone to security issues. WE know better but that's the sad reality.
