I am starting to get picture that Microsoft doesn't want to be in mobile business anymore.

I have to admit it does seem that way, though Verizon isn't escaping the blame either. I can attest that their horrid treatment of the windows mobile platform is most likely what fueled this decision. Which is ironic because all updates now will be from Microsoft.
