Hi folks,

I just received my replacement Nokia Lumia 900 and I dumbs have stabbed into the secondary microphone pit as I tried to extract the sim tray. Comparing with another Lumia 900 it appears that I have changed / damaged at least something because I can?t see the microphone anywhere near the surface.
I have tried to find a way to test whether the secondary microphone is operational but did not find something in the Diagnostics App. Also I have made some test and could not find and impact on call quality.

Is there any way how I really could test whether
a) the hardware secondary microphone is operational fully?
or
b) noise cancellation is working as designed originally.

Please let me know what I can do to test because this drives me nuts!
I already called someone increasing the volume of a music player near me but it is really hard to tell how operational noise cancellation would sound on the other side of the call.

Many thanks
Basti

Hey eortizr,

thank you for your advice. Using the phone handy free / speaker phone mode works fine.
:)
I have to admit that I am a bit skeptical wheather that profs that the secondary microphone in working because if I block the secondary micro with my finger during calling in speaker phone mode it seems not to impact call quality for the person on the other side of the line.

Many thanks.

I was able to test the secondary microphone by using the free App "Voice Notes". I appears that the secondary is recording which is great. Seems to be a strong part built in there :p
