Since the 929 will only be slightly wider than the 928, will users have the option to use a 2 tile wide start screen rather than 3?

I'm no expert but since this isn't an Android, such specific/deep OS level changes aren't likely to be a choice.

It seems like you would be able to put three mediums or two large tiles side by side. Hopefully someone will be able to check this out for us.

This is by far my biggest gripe with the layout on the larger phones, particularly on the 5" screens. The tiles are actually smaller than their counterparts on sub-5" screens. And no ability to stretch a tiles the full width of the screen. Disappointing.
