I feel like this affects me on a personal level. After the Apple II we had in my 5th grade class got destroyed during a break-in one weekend, my dad and a couple other parents of students in my class wrote a letter to Steve Jobs, asking for a replacement. We got one real quick. Jobs was a cool dude.
I used to pass Apple's first big headquarters building right where Stevens Creek Blvd. intersects with highway 280 as I was driven to junior high every day by my mom. They had the big old multicolored Apple logo at the top of the building and you couldn't miss it as you passed it by on the freeway.
RIP, Steve.
