Still wondering where's Bing Maps on Android

Even in Edge on Android, if you type "http://www.bing.com/maps" it just takes you straight back to the bing.com homepage.

Can we at least get an answer as to why this is? Is it definitively a licensing thing? or Google squashing Bing Maps and forcing you to use Google Maps?

Supplement to this...Cortana->Settings->Favorite Places (on Android), you can't use these places in her skillsets. If you ask her, "Remind me next time I'm at Matt's house to pay him back" she will ask to "Set address for this place" but only give your choices of Current location, Home, and Work...but not your Favorite Places! Trying this on a PC, she does give you Matt's house as the location...

I use Here maps and gave up on Cortana for Android. I try and avoid Google whenever possible.

plenty of gps and map apps on Android. so it's not Google. personally I really enjoyed using gps on my w10m phone. I've had an iPhone and now I have a note 8 and windows was my favorite.
