I have no apps that I can discern are doing this. My Microsoft account has the email sync unchecked. My gmail account is grayed out but says it is syncing. There is no access to it.
Offices of colleagues become synced with my sister's home number. Office becomes synced with others. Friends' numbers become linked with email addresses of reporters from the Dallas Morning News. Up to seven duplicate contacts show up. I send a text. there is no response, because the reply comes back under another contact listing for that same person.
This is a major irritant. It does seem that Microsoft deserves whatever negative reactions they get. Mr. Nadella, are you listening? Do you care? This sets a serious negative reaction to everything Microsoft.
