Storage issues on my Lumia 640 XL

Hi there I recently got my Lumia 640XL and I have already ran out of storage (on the phone I've an additional 4GB on a temp sd card until I get a larger one) I noticed that system files are taking the lions share of storage followed by 2.0GB apps and games (I also have apps installed to SD) and I am wondering why?
I had the Nokia Lumia 520 with the same 4GB memory card and I never got the storage warning. I have upload to OneDrive on and I am still coming up short space wise.

See i think its the normal space used by the OS.Am using a WIn 10 TP on my L730 and its showing 5.02 GB for system files (excluding apps).So better buy a good memory card.Also note that these days other than class 10, an ultraspeed model is also coming.Check if it is compatible and if so then go for it.

Oh my word that's a huuuge amount of storage! I'm thinking of upgrading once its officially released, yes I found one on ebay for like 13USD which is like 12EURO so like I'm gonna go for it. Cheers for that dude! Helped out alot.

It's because i updated my 8.1 to win10..and thats why it's consuming 5.02 GB.Check these pics ..see the normal class 10 and the ultra one.There is some difference between both.Ultra is faster than class 10.But you have to check it whether your phone supports it or not.

Thanks so much for the tips ill have a look and see hopefully it supports ultra if not I am more then happy to have the class 10. I have a standard sd card inside and it's slow. Thank you

Actually, many apps refuse to be stored on the SD card - MS office being the big offender here!

Yes some games don't install on the SD card either.
