Does lumia 620 work with straight talk and have 3G or is it locked to 2G?

you have the option to choose between 3G or 2G, so yeps, it works on both

p.s: if that's what you're asking...your question kinda confused me .-. do you mean if the phone supports 3g or you're talking about an app?

Yes if it has the hardware. For example if i put my straight talk at&t into a Samsung galaxy 2 for t mobile, it would have 2G.

Your Straight Talk SIM in the USA will either be connected to T-Mobile or AT&T. Since I regularly switch SIMS for both networks, I can confirm that it runs quite well on both. At home I have good coverage from both carriers. My average download speed is about 6 to 8 mbps on AT&T, and 12 to 14 mbps on T-Mobile.

I have straight talk and never had those speeds. Or when I was on at&t. Kinda surprised t mobile is faster for you.
