Is there a way to hook up my Stream 7 to an external monitor? And maybe even a mouse and keyboard?

Thanks

You can use a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard for a monitor I'm not sure there may be an adapter you can get

I haven't tried this myself, but you can use Miracast for wirelessly sending your screen to another display over WiFi. Microsoft makes an adapter ( Wireless Display Adapter | Microsoft Hardware )
Apparently the Amazon Fire Stick ( http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-W87CUN...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUwpUvbUpU3124113 ) also has support for Miracast, and it happens to be on sale at the moment, for $34.

For mouse and keyboard you're best option would be pairing with Bluetooth.

Unfortunately there aren't dedicated ports for USB or HDMI/Displayport, so if you want to charge the device at the same time you'll need to use wireless connections.

You have a couple options as I do use the Stream 7 as my primary machine at home. I have the MS Wireless Display adapter and use a bluetooth mouse & keyboard. If you look at the link Jiffybag posted, I have the OTG USB Changing dongle and use that for any USB devices I need.

I have found that generally, if you want to go this route, that the Plugable Pro8 device would be the better, cheaper route. If you don't want something that big to lug around with you, than you can do what I've done.

I will say that the Stream 7 definitely cannot handle streaming video/games, etc to the MS Wireless adapter, but does work well as a monitor for less graphic intensive tasks.

I've used a stream 7 with a plugable pro8 dock, and it works fine. it's by no means a speed demon, but it get's the job done for web browsing, email, and light office work. for reference, the dock is supporting a 23" dell touch monitor, a wireless keyboard and mouse, and a printer.
