sudden battery drain!!

i have a lumia 720 which i bought in feb this year! the battery life has been exceptional since then as i got almost 2 days worth of juice out of the battery! but suddenly it changed! from the last 5 days my battery doesnt even last for one single day even though it is idle for most of the time! the discharge rate shown by various battery apps range from 4% to 7% per hour which increases to 12% when i use whatsapp! i blocked all the background apps and also did a hard reset couple of times but nothing is working out! plz help

Hi and welcome to WPCentral. Do you have windows phone 8.0 or 8.1 developer preview on your Lumia 720 ? Also try a soft reset by holding volume down + lock button at the same time until your phone vibrates and reboot itself.

thnx for the reply himanshu...i have wp 8 and like u said...i already did a couple of soft resets and as they didnt help...i did hard resets too...but to no avail! i still have the battery issue...
