My dad is considering upgrading from a feature/basic phone and moving to T-mobile. I have a 640 and he's impressed with the picture quality and that he can even take selfies, lol. He doesn't care for flagship phones, just a phone that is new, and can take nice pictures. He probably wouldn't use apps much, and he wants me to see if I can find a 640 for him so that he can play with it.

I'm not really sure about the possible learning curve that he might have so it would be helpful if anyone can share their experiences with me. For reference, all of his email addresses are hosted by outlook, so that's straight forward. He is OK with computers, at least in knowing how to print, watch a video, get directions, google maps, and send emails, lol.

Help/suggestions/experiences would be useful to me.

I think he'll be fine.

If my mom can get by with an iPhone and my dad can pick up the 635 and use it, I think your father will do just fine. Just tell him how to customize his start.

Thank you! I'm sure that you're correct. I forgot to mention to him that it has onscreen keys and that you access the camera from the action center though. I'm going to have to see how he feels about those two things. It kind of has me looking into other Windows Phones with capative buttons, but the 640 camera is better though and that is what he cares about the most.

My dad will not touch a computer, and has now figured out Windows phone, had a 920, now an 830.
A lot of thinking and complaining to start but not much lately

My dad trust me about electronic.
I told him one day about wp and he was like:,,wut,wut?"..
When i brought 735 i get 630 too. He love that phone.
About learning curve, that's depend on person and tutor. ;)

Thank you all!
I just convinced my dad to get a 640 and I'll be his teacher, haha.
