Surface 3 and NOT Having to Take Out of Bag for Airport TSA

I'm just happy that my "laptop" in the shape of a tablet doesn't need to be taken out of my bag like all other laptops at the airport security lines. Ahhh....the simple and small joys in life!

Probably based on the fact that it's darn near impossible to modify a Surface tablet and replace any parts with explosives, as could be done with a laptop hard drive, battery, etc.

Just go with the TSA Pre-check system and not have to take anything out or take off your belt and shoes. And it is always 10-30 minutes faster.
I actually got the Global Entry card which is about $20 more and it helps slide right through customs when you return from an international flight.

I had to take my S2 out as it had a "keyboard".
I took my S3 out regardless to avoid the hassle and alcohol swab debacle.

Sigh in most of Asia now (at least in the airports I've travelled to recently- Singapore, HK, Taiwan) they have all asked tablets to be removed from carry on bags.
