Does the Surface 3 have a front facing camera with infrared that can be used for Windows Hello facial recognition? Like the Intel one?

I think it would be a shame for them to omit that...

No, it does not. Looking at the pictures, it is clear it only has a regular webcam. This device will not support any functions of Windows Hello at all as it has no biometric sensors.

This is one of the biggest reasons I am skipping this device, seems like poor planning from the Surface team.

I don't think its poor planning, just viewed as an added expense to include a camera not supported by the OS on the device at this time. I predict the Intel camera will also be among the differentiators for the Surface Pro 4. And because the Atom x7 supports the 3d camera, it could be added in Surface 4.

ill do a 100 bucks bet, the surface pro 4 will hace this feature and it will be advertised
and that feature fits even better in the bussines sector.

surface 3 is more consumer oriented

My prediction, a fingerprint scanner in a new keyboard just in time for Xmas - and you thought the current S3 type cover was overpriced....
