Surface 4 Pro is just really horrible, how can I make it better?

Surface 4 pro is just really horrible

Even worst then I expected. Each and every day or at least each 2 days there would be some issue like getting really, really hot; don't know what happen but suddenly the screen became black and there was this huge sound coming from it. Surface pen was unresponsive, the surface ended up needing to be shut down after being unresponsive, being in deep 'sleep'...etc.

Everything in my surface is up-to-date. Don't tell me to check whether my surface is up-to-date..etc; everything is updated.

The updates does not solve the issues at all. I just got this surface 3 weeks ago for about 3k because I was going into college. This is absolutely the most disappointing laptop I've ever experience. I really regret getting this surface.

I just got this laptop and all this error feels like I got this laptop for at least 3 years already, or would a laptop ever experience this much error..?

I am too afraid to download my school software in this thing and even used it for any online exams and test. I'm sorry if I sound rude but this surface is just really absolutely disappointing...

Despite what you say, it really doesn't sound like it's up to date.

Hi...this is the person who post this question, I just make an account....It does sound like it's not up-to-date but I checked it and the surface also said that I already installed all the latest update. I really wish the updates would have solve all/most of the issue. I guessed maybe the updates doesn't really solve all of the surface pro 4. I'm not really sure what to do with this surface, it's really a great writing tool for my studies but horrible in maintaining it self after a few hours as it gets really hot and also I'm scared it might end up with the black screen again and this weird sound coming from it.

Could you check by typing "winver" into the search box on taskbar and click the "run command" result? What does it say for version and OS build?

That is up to date OS... I assume you have checked the actual updates to make sure you got all the patches and hotfixes...

Might be time for the old Warranty repair/replace.

Ok thx, yea I'll probably do a replacement...or if even possible. Get my money back and get another latop or something.

Just re boot using power button + volume up button hold for a while until boot screen comes up then select the exit option to re start normally this should hopefully fix the problem your having post 4/2016 update

The only significant problem I've ever had with SP4 is sometimes it's really hard to turn on the machine with a cold boot or it's hard to wake up from sleep.

So I hold down the power and the up volume button for about 15 seconds. Release. Then press for half a second the power button. And then the Surface.

There are also these shortcut methods that have worked for me in the past:

Try waking your Surface with hotkeys

You might be able to wake your Surface using a special keyboard shortcut.
?If you have a keyboard connected, simultaneously press the Windows logo key Windows logo +Ctrl+Shift+B.
?If you are in tablet mode, simultaneously press both the volume-up and volume-down buttons three times in quick succession (within two seconds).

If Windows is responsive, you should hear a short beep while Windows tries to refresh the screen. If your Surface still won't turn on, try Solution 3.
