Surface book estimated tax!!

I'm moving to New York in a couple of weeks from India. I donno the percent of tax they lay on surface book. As I'm a student, surface book i7 8gb ram with dgpu costs at 1889$ ( with student discount ). Help me with the estimated taxed price!

Well i live in Florida and each county in Florida has a different sales tax. In Florida it's between 6 and 7 %.

Where in New York? If you'll be close to Jersey DEFINITELY you should buy from Jersey (7%), or buy from an online retailer which is not from NY and don't pay any tax at all...Or you can go to Delaware no sales tax in there...

In that case, going to Delaware is better option.

I remember back in the day with the Gateway stores where you would order at the store and they would deliver to your house. I went to the one in Seminole county which was 7% and I live in Orange whic was 6. So they charges the tax to orange county 6%.

If I have to buy from any other place than MS store, there is no point of buying it there. I'll miss student offer.
