The lid on my ancient Alienware M14x R1 keeps breaking, so its time for a new laptop. I'm an artist that has never made the transition from paper/canvas to digital, so the Surface line has piqued my interest. The i5 / 8gb Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 w/ keyboard are comparable in price. The dilemma for me is the Surface Book has a larger display, while the Surface Pro 4 seems to be less buggy. After looking at the "Would you still buy...." thread, I'm curious if things are better now that the extra screen real estate is worth the flaws of the Surface Book. Thanks.

I have the same model Surface Book that you're interested in. For me I have no bugs or problems with my SB. Based on my experience I recommend the Surface Book.

Do you have the 256gb or 128gb storage version. I'm sort of a file hoarder, and I don't know if the 128gb is enough. The similarly priced SP4 has 256gbs.

I have the 128gb version. Honestly I stopped checking my storage space after a few weeks of using it lol. But I haven't had a problem with space yet. I guess I need to check my available space lol.

I highly suggest getting office 365. It has 1 TB of memory. Also, I use a WD mycloud that is my personal cloud, it has 4TB
