Surface Pen Low Sensitivity

Hey guys. Been loving my Surface Pro 3 this last month, but I've noticed a few odd things with my pen and I wanted to see if others had this problem.

I attached a photo below showing how the Surface pen writes in Fresh Paint, and also how the HTC Scribe pen compares. This happens in all applications, it was just this application that made me think there may be a real problem with my pen.

As you can see, the Surface pen takes much more pressure to make a darker/thicker line (the lines drawn were pressures from as light as possible to as hard as I could press without damaging the screen).

So basically, I'm wondering if others have similar sensitivity on their pens, or if I should be contacting Microsoft for a replacement.

I am not seeing this in OneNote but I don't own the HTC Pen

This is the same type of comparison in OneNote. Its less of an issue here because I don't rely on the sensitivity too much, though, I do prefer the thinnest setting using the HTC pen because it is just ever so slightly thicker. If you look at the thickest line, you can tell that the HTC pen gets to a max thickness, while the Surface pen never reaches the max thickness even at a potentially dangerous pressure.
