Surface Pro 3. Inn Desktop mode lower black bar is too wide.. why?

Hi,

I have a Surface Pro 3 and recently it seems the lower black bar has become wider. It has 2 rows of icons.

The top row has the normal program icons, Edge, Thunderbird,Skype etc and the lower row is the Start icon and the multiple Windows icon and on the right side the keyboard and ENG.

Is this normal ?

If you hover your cursor on the top edge of the "black bar" AKA the Task Bar, you will see the classic double sided arrow indicating you may hold down the left mouse button and drag. This will expand or contract the Task Bar from one row up to nine rows.

You can also do this by touch, but the targeting is rather more difficult.

You may have accidentally expanded it at one time...
