Surface Pro 4 freezing randomly, how can I stop this?

Surface Pro 4 Freezing Randomly

My new Surface Pro 4 (256 i5 8gb) keeps freezing. no access to any commands. No particular app or program being used, just seems random. Requires me to restart by forcing shutdown. Happens sometimes a couple of times per hour.

This happens to me but only related to touch. I can connect the keyboard and reason control but no touch screen control. And just like you it happens randomly and I need to restart the machine.

Hi

Ive got the exact same issue and it happens pretty much twice an hour too. Really frustrating, I've restored it twice now but no luck.

Have you found the cause or a fix yet?

The 4 is so unreliable. Its a huge step backward Had this happen about a month ago on and off, now for the past week it happens just about every hour. I am going to try to return this machine.

I have exactly the same problem reported here with touch - does anyone have a solution, do we know if MS is even aware of this?
