Surface pro 7 not displaying on LG 5k monitor

I just bought a new surface pro 7 tablet and loving it!
One problem i am having is that its not connecting to my 5k LG monitor which has a usb type c thunderbolt connection.

I succesfully connected to lg 4k monitor and also tried to use the lg 4k usb cable on the 5k monitor but no luck.

Do you know how i can make it function ?

Can you connect anything successfully to the 5k monitor? Whilst it is connected, did you go to project screen settings and tell Windows to extend the screen? Are your graphics card drivers up to date?
