Surface RT running Windows 8.1 not recognizing lumia 1020

Trying to get my 1020 to recognize on the surface RT iwth windows 8.1 preview . Anybody get this to work?

Did you mean that your Surface RT running 8.1 fails to recognize your Lumia 1020?

Ok. I'll edit the thread title and move it to the Surface RT forum, since it sounds like it is related to the Surface running a beta OS, rather than an issue with the 1020.

All bets are off since you are running a beta OS. you should restore back to 8.

Same with my 920. I think everyone running the beta has run into the same problem.

Quick fix for your mobile device not working in Surface 8.1 preview ( mine Lumia 520) just go to settings>change pc settings>update & recovery>recovery>refresh. Just wait until it finishes and plug in your device and voil?.
Tried and tested on Lumia 520

Had to do the refresh on 8.1 for it to recognize my 8X as well...

Thx guys refreshing did the trick. Surface able to install the drivers and now it works with the windows phone app.

I did a complete reinstall of Windows over the weekend (unrelated issue) and now my SRT recognizes my 920 again. I didn't realize how annoying it was not having this feature until it was gone, lol.
