Windows Central Question

If you switched from android to windows phone I have a few ?s....

1. Why did you switch?
2. Any regrets? If so, will you go back to android?

I currently have a lumia 900, wp 7.8 and although I like windows, I kind of want to try something different. I've used a friends android, kit kat version, and noticed a lot of similarities bt android and wp but also noticed I could do a little more with android (i.e. Active widgets).

However, the msft band is making me want to stay with windows phone and I'm liking what I see with wp 8.1.1 and the 1520 as we'll. I just feel that what I can do on windows phone I can do on android, plus more.

Thanks in advance everyone.

What about efficient? Do you find WP for efficient than android? For example, one thing I hate about ios is that you have to go in and out of apps to obtain info, hit the home button, find the back button and "X" on apps to close them, etc. I like how WP and android have live tiles and widgets respectively and how they are able to provide info without having to open them up... And one reason im leaning towards android is bc you can be more active with the widgets (i.e. Control music w/o having to open the app, reply to email and texts from the notification center w/o opening them, etc). OR, is there not that much diff at all with respect to efficient and live tiles vs. Widgets? Im also wondering if having multiple home screens in android for customization purposes is better or more frustrating than having to scroll dowb pinned live tiles on the WP home screen? Thanks again everyone.

I think Windows simplicity on phones make it more efficient than Android. I dislike the multiple home screens on Android to me is very frustrating vs a single home screen with folders and live tiles on Windows for phones.

No regrets on efficiency.

I switched from Android when the L920 came out and MS debued WP8. In the majority I have no regrets. There are some apps I miss, in particular for music players as there are several really good ones for Android, and XBOX music sucks with conviction. Having said that, no, I have no intentions of going back to Android. At some point in the future, I may consider an Android tablet as a toy for games and such, but having now tried Android, WP, iOS, and having come from BB, Palm, etc. I am the most happy with WP 8.1 and look forward to seeing what Win10 will bring.
