Switching from a 1520

I am switching from a 1520 to an Icon. I have read all the issues that it can have, am not to concerned about those since denim has been announce (also I have heard you can flash a 930 rom?). But I am wondering what I can expect with the change.

Nope, 930 rom cannot be flashed to a Lumia Icon. With denim, you get WP8.1 Update 1 features plus a faster Lumia camera with Denim

The difference will be lack of glance, sd. card slot, and shorter battery life. How much shorter is up for debate. Outside of that and the fact that the 1520 currently has cyan they are pretty much the same device.

Others opinions may differ from my own to include build materials used and experience with WiFi as well.

I really wonder what the difference in build quality is. Although my 1520 has solid build, I really am looking forward to the aluminum frame the icon has, will be a throwback to my 925.

Someone said they put a T-Mobile SIM card in their icon, and said it updated their phone to denim. Does that make sense? Doesn't to me.

No it doesn't since Denim is JUST being pushed out to the 928 and 822 here in the US and a few places overseas. It is probably the notorious extras & info glitch.
